Featuring an enhanced 4 level air filtration process, the NQ Clarifier Medical is a powerful solution to indoor air problems in residential, commercial, medical, industrial and military settings. This four stage process begins with a 10 µm (microns or micrometers) particulate pre-filter, which traps particles as small as a single water vapor droplet. Next an activated carbon filter absorbs chemical pollutants, volatile organic compounds and offensive odors. The air then travels through a true HEPA filter that contains fine glass impregnated fibers that trap as much as 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 µm, including harmful micro-organisms. And finally air is discharged through a carbon impregnated post filter by NQ’s Topflow system that maximizes the unit’s clean air delivery rate.
During these filtration processes, the NQ Clarifier Medical creates a UV purification zone by irradiating titanium dioxide with 4 9 Watt ultraviolet germicidal irradiation lamps. Known as Photocatalytic Oxidation, this process breaks down bacteria, viruses, fungi, allergens and molds on a molecular level. The purifier’s 4 UV lamps produce a combined UV dosage of 26,000 µWsec/cm² and are capable of completely destroying bacteria and viruses such as E. coli, tuberculosis and infectious hepatitis. While ultraviolet light can be harmful to the eyes and skin, the NQ Clarifier Medical emits zero UV leakage, produces no ozone and utilizes no chemicals during its oxidation.
